Cline adds free stealth model “code-supernova” for agentic coding
Cline has introduced a stealth coding model named code-supernova, available now in alpha through the Cline provider. The model targets iterative, tool-heavy workflows common to agentic coding and is offered with unrestricted access during the alpha period.
What code-supernova offers
code-supernova focuses on workflows that require long, context-rich sessions and multimodal inputs:
- 200k context window, enabling extended agentic interactions and larger codebases within a single session.
- Multimodal support for images such as screenshots and architecture diagrams, in addition to text.
- Optimized for agentic coding, trained to handle the typical Cline agentic loop: reading files, executing commands, and making edits.
- Free during alpha with no usage limits or throttling while the distributing lab gathers real-world feedback.
The model accepts screenshots for debugging UI issues and diagrams for system design work, fitting into the same multimodal workflows offered by other frontier models in Cline.
Getting started
Access code-supernova through the Cline provider by following these steps:
- Open Cline settings
- Select the Cline provider
- Choose
cline:cline/code-supernova
- Start coding
During the alpha, usage data and feedback help refine the model’s real-world behavior and long-term performance.
Where to give feedback
Feedback and community discussion are being collected via the project’s channels. Links provided by Cline point to the community spaces for reporting experiences and observations:
